General settings

System specific settings can be modified by navigating to Settings / General settings the on the Admin interface (https://companyname.comnica.cc). Click here to learn more about Contact Center settings.

Modifying system specific general settings.
  • Password strength and expiration

    There are two options to choose from:

    • Normal: at minimum 6 characters, which has to include both numbers and letters.
    • Strong: at minimum 6 characters, which has to include both number, letters and a special symbol.

    Password expiration option only becomes available, when the “Strong” option is chosen. A custom period (in days) can be set, after which the password will expire and the users will have to change their passwords to be able to log in. This is a great option for security purposes.

  • Two factor authentication (2FA)

    Two-factor authentication (2FA) is a method of adding additional security to your account. The first “factor” is the usual password. The second “factor” is a verification code our system will send out on a login attempt.

    Before activating 2FA, please verify if every active user has their mobile phone number recorded on their User data sheet. The 2FA code needed for login will be sent to this phone number via text message.

  • Own email server (optional)

    The own e-mail server allows to send messages from using your own company e-mail address, instead of a general Comnica e-mail address.
